For along time ballroom dancing has been considered as an elegant class, nowadays with shows such as dancing with the stars and plenty of more reality shows ballroom dancing is becoming more and more competitive. The question that is arrayed to everyone now though is, Is ballroom dancing becoming a mainstream sport?, Can it qualify to be classed as a sport. Lets take a look.

Well if you are a professional ballroom dancer you will know that not only do you have to train non stop to keep up your physical stamina. Especially when you are entering tournaments you will have to maybe dance around 5-6 times a day for weeks so having good health is a must.

Lets have a look at some other sports for example football is a very competitive game causing confusion when the team is losing and celebrations when they are winning. Well let me tell you something ballroom dancing is all about the winning, when you visit competitions you will see little groups of people planning in corners then smiling at you, there will be a lot of mind games.

So for a conclusion why cant ballroom dancing be considered as a sport? With the great dancing, the competitive members and the great music its just like any other sport, you must have a talent.
