By the time the end of this week has come, we could have a National Concealed Carry Law in our hands. Senator of South Dakota, John Thune and Senator of Louisiana, David Vitter have proposed this amendment.

In 2008, in the District of Columba v. Heller, the Supreme Court decided to support the Second Amendment, saying that the District of Columbia's ban on handguns infringe it.

So, Washington, D.C. reacted. One of those reactions was this thing called microstamping. You may have heard of it. Firearm microstamping, ballistic imprinting, ballistic engraving... whichever way you say it, it is a threat to gun lovers all over America, mainly because it will make guns extremely expensive. Lasers will engrave markings, like a serial number, onto the tip of the firing pin of the gun and on its breech face. The serial number will then be transferred to the cartridge case when the gun is fired. The new proposals basically help prevent this from becoming something required for ALL firearms - thus keeping firearms purchased for self defense affordable. In addition, it will not negatively affect the no carry states, but it will protect the State Government's right to make decisions regarding state wide concealed carry.

There are some people who do not like this, so Second Amendment supporters are being asked to practice their First Amendment rights and speak up! Dr. Ignatius Piazza, founder and director of Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, speaks of this issue in his Front Sight Newsletter - the free email newsletter that he personally put together for our information and entertainment. In these personal emails, you will receive valuable information on Front Sight, government issues, the media - anything going on in the gun world today. They will keep you up to date on what is really going on in our world, even the things that the government would absolutely love to keep hidden from gun supporters. Check it out on Front Sight's website. It is a novel thing to stay informed - and you will not get bored while doing it! And since it is free, what do you have to lose? Well, besides naivete?

Dr. Piazza is just like you, an avid gun enthusiast who wants to protect his right to bear arms, while keeping himself, his loved ones and the world around him as safe as possible. When it comes to firearms, having had thousands upon thousands of hours of gun training, education and research, the Four Weapons Combat Master knows what he is talking about. As a Second Amendment supporter, I personally trust his opinion on guns, because the man has put in his time. He owns and operates the world's unsurpassed leader in firearms training schools, Front Sight, and plans on sticking around. Students of Dr. Piazza rave about his firearms training, edged weapons training and empty hands self defense training courses up, down, around the block and back again. So let's follow him in his support of Senator Thune and Senator Vitter and fight for what is rightfully ours - the right to keep and bear arms. Don't let the Second Amendment fall away.
